MAKING STITCHES ETSY SHOP
Hello, I had been hoping to share the last episode of the current series with you on Friday, in fact I mentioned it in the last episode. Unfortunately that won’t now be possible. 🎉Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for joining me on my Making Stitches journey throughout 2022. I wonder what 2023 will have in store for us - lots of happiness and creativity I hope! 🎙️Hello! Your last installment of Making Stitches for 2022 is out now! This stroll back through the year’s archive revisits some of my highlights from the past year (I had to be selective and not shoehorn everything in or we’d still be listening in a few day’s time! 😂). Looking for something to listen to as you lose yourself in a bit of Boxing Day stitching or yarny fun? Why not catch up with some old friends of Making Stitches Podcast and hear how their year’s been going? 🎄It’s almost Christmas time and there’s something waiting in your podcast stocking for you! Part 1 of the Making Stitches Christmas & New Year Specials. Have you caught this ‘early’ episode yet? Released yesterday, as the first of two episodes this week, it features Olesya Levedenko, a quilt maker & textile artist from Ukraine who has spoken on the podcast before. Olesya Lebedenko, the Ukrainian quilter and textile artist is hosting a fundraising art quilt sale this month to raise funds for charities in Ukraine. You may remember Olesya from episode 41 of the podcast, when she spoke about the evolution of her craft from making rag dolls at workshops in Kyiv to art quilt making in Canada. 🪡Sewing is a life skill and one which Michelle Edwards believes is essential for young people to learn. In the latest episode of Making Stitches, Michelle speaks about her latest children’s story ‘Me and the Boss’. 🪡The empowerment that sewing has brought and can bring to individuals was the key theme for the latest episode of Making Stitches Podcast. From the history of the world through the eye of a needle with author, banner maker and community artist Clare Hunter to the power of being able to mend your own clothes with children’s author Michelle Edwards.
